Before Intravenous Anesthesia Sedation

To ensure a smooth surgical experience, please follow these important guidelines:

    • Fasting: Do not eat or drink (including water) for at least 8 hours prior to your scheduled procedure.

    • Accompaniment: A responsible adult must accompany you, remain in the office during the procedure, and drive you home.

    • Post-Surgery Care: Avoid driving or operating machinery for 24 hours following anesthesia.

    • Attire: Wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled above the elbow, and low-heeled shoes. NO sandals, flip flops or clogs.

    • Remove Personal Items: Remove contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures before the procedure.

    • Avoid Makeup: Do not wear lipstick, excessive makeup, or nail polish on the day of surgery.

    • Health Concerns: If you’re experiencing a cold, sore throat, or digestive upset, please inform our office in advance.

    • Medications: If you take routine medications, consult with Drs. Conley, Dr. McDaniel, or Dr. Nall before your surgery for further instructions.
